  I would feel much more at ease booking a table knowing that other people will wear a face covering when not eating or drinking. It's tough on the hospitality industry with all these lockdowns but definitely tougher for the staff... The restaurant owners should have a big deposit system in place for large bookings and possibly also insurance too. Also as I used to do when in the industry, you have to adapt to the times and develop delivery services on a large scale to include buffet platters, Christmas dinners etc as if lockdowns are coming back..  All the nhs is under such stress and don’t have the capacity the provide the help that people expect. 4 hours a lady waited for a ambulance near me after having a stroke last week. We are all sitting here and allowing this government to do this, with no hope for any changes because of a weak opposition. The British public are allowing this to happen. Typical sensationalism with "ambulance" as a headline suggesting it's the fault of the ambulance and crew who would have been run ragged for 12 hours and will probably finish an hour or more late if they are lucky what happened to the clapping for our NHS heroes? Because hopsital emergencies are full of patients who should or could have been seen by GPs had they allowed face to face appointments. GPs need to open and allow f2f visits yesterday.   most GPs are still seeing patients. The issue is that there is a massive, ongoing shortage of GPs. One GP per many hundreds of patients. Noone wants the job and they are leaving in droves to emigrate or return to hospital medicine. I wonder why! Sarah LK I've had a text message from my GP surgery informing me that in future they will only be doing triage appts over the phone! Given that it had been virtually impossible to get an appt even before the pandemic I give thanks every day that I'm a fit and healthy 73 year old. Triage is not a good replacement for face to face appts since a lot of people aren't very good at explaining themselves over the phone, particularly the frail and the elderly.
