 Abortion should not be seen as contraception. Abortion may be necessary when the health of the pregnant woman is endangered, but I am uneasy about it being on demand because it is doing away with a life at the end of the day. Jacqueline Wilkinson I find it amazing when people say ‘a form of contraception’. Only people that have never had an abortion or read anything about them would think it’s a preferred‘ form of contraception’. Jacqueline Wilkinson when you teach kids that are bouncing around the foster system, you realise that the assumption an unwanted baby will be adopted is fantasy. I just worry that if it becomes too accessible, too quickly people won't have had time, or the professional help they need to make the right decision for them. Could lead to a lot of mental health issues in the long term. I also worry that if it becomes too easy to get an abortion women may not be as careful and this may also lead to spread of disease. Wonder if I'm being too overcautious in my thinking?
