 Nancy Sa Sadly a lot of families are like this, but suddenly take an interest, when someone dies, I've nursed people who never had a visitor, but once they become seriously ill, or die, the family suddenly take an interest. I do hope you have friends who care. K Antonio Sadiq I agree. We in the UK have a lot to relearn about family values. Tragically the 'extended family' is now almost a thing of the past. Relocation of younger family members....extended working hours .....elders still working at 66 years......leaves little room for gatherings. Dahlia Payne the MHA does indeed require doctors & other profesionals to act: 1. He missed multiple gp appointments & refused to engage with mental health teams; why wasn't this chased up?

  I was crying and in a distressed state, and a gentleman on the way that I saw approached me to check I was ok and said he would walk me home. I felt like I couldn’t say no, and luckily for my sake he was one of the good ones and actually did walk me to my door and then leave without hurting me. Looking back, that could have so easily ended up differently. In hindsight I wasn’t in the right frame of mine to be going out and partying because that’s something I would never do now. I just feel so much for the women who have no choice but to walk places alone frequently, because it must be so draining on a regular basis.
